Night Shift Engineering Supervisor - Redditch

Are you a Maintenance Engineering Lead looking to take on more responsibility? Are you looking for a role that offers a great engineering challenge? Responsibilities:

Lead Reliability Maintenance Schedules.To carry out root cause analysis on all significant lost time events, provide corrective actions and timeframes for completionTo encourage the use of continuous improvement to maximise plant and machinery availability, identifying solutions and delivering agreed actions.To assist in the facilitation of daily engineering handover, reporting on KPI's and outstanding works.

This list is not exhaustive and you will be expected to carry out additional duties where reasonable.

Requirements:

Management experience within an Engineering function.Experience working in an FMCG or similarly fast paced environment.Experience of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).In depth understanding of mechanical, electrical and logic control systems.

NB - This is a night shift role and requires flexibility according to business needs

QC Technician

Location: Northamptonshire

Are you looking to build your career in Quality Control within a successful manufacturing business?

We're recruiting for a QC Technician to join a well-established manufacturer supplying high-quality products to global consumer markets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background and laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

The Opportunity

As a QC Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring raw materials, production batches and finished products consistently meet quality standards before release. Working closely with Production and other internal teams, you'll help maintain product quality while supporting the smooth running of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out Quality Control testing on raw materials, in-process and finished productsRelease materials and batches against agreed specificationsInvestigate and record non-conformancesSupport batch rework activities where requiredMaintain accurate laboratory records and quality documentationUpdate internal quality systemsLiaise with internal departments to ensure products are released on timeMaintain high laboratory housekeeping and Health & Safety standards

We're looking for someone who has:

A strong scientific background gained through education, vocational qualifications or hands-on laboratory experiencePrevious experience within a Quality Control, laboratory or manufacturing environment (preferred)Excellent attention to detailStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a teamMust be flexible to occasionally work either the 6:00am-2:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm shift to provide holiday cover and support the wider team.

Experience within the chemical, homecare, household, fragrance, personal care or consumer products sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK, as we are unable to support future sponsorship requirements.

Development Chemist

An established and growing manufacturer within the consumer products sector is looking to appoint an experienced Development Chemist to support the creation and improvement of a wide range of household cleaning and home care products.

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to lead projects from concept through to commercial launch, working closely with production, quality, procurement, and commercial teams.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing innovative formulations, improving existing product performance, and supporting the transfer of products from laboratory scale into full manufacturing.

Product categories may include:

Surface and multi-purpose cleanersLaundry and fabric care productsDishwashing formulationsBathroom and toilet cleanersFloor care productsOther household and specialist cleaning solutions

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and optimising product formulationsAssessing and selecting suitable raw materials and ingredientsConducting laboratory testing, stability studies, and performance evaluationsInvestigating formulation and manufacturing challengesSupporting scale-up activities and production trialsMaintaining technical documentation and product specificationsEnsuring products meet relevant regulatory and quality requirementsMonitoring market trends, ingredient developments, and innovation opportunitiesWorking cross-functionally to deliver projects on time and within budget

About You

We're interested in speaking with formulation chemists who have experience within household care, detergents, FMCG, industrial cleaning products, or a related sector.

You will ideally have:

3+ years of proven formulation and product development experienceKnowledge of surfactant chemistry and cleaning systemsExperience in taking products from development through to manufactureUnderstanding of product stability, compatibility, and performance testingExperience supporting production and troubleshooting formulation issuesStrong project management and organisational skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
